EDL Delegation Visits Beite Transformer to Explore Long-Term Strategic Cooperation

To strengthen China–Laos cooperation in the power sector, a senior delegation from Electricité du Laos (EDL) visited Beite Transformer Co., Ltd. on July 13 for a factory tour, technical exchange, and business discussions.

The delegation was led by Mr. Vongsay SAYYDETH, Chairman of the EDL Committee, together with senior executives and technical experts from EDL. Representatives from VIC LAOS also joined the visit.

The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Nan Lehua, Chairman of Beite Transformer, and Mr. Dewey Wang, General Manager of the International Business Department. Discussions focused on 110 kV–220 kV power transformers, high-power DC EV charging stations, high- and low-voltage switchgear, manufacturing capabilities, and future project cooperation.

Business Meeting

During the meeting, Chairman Nan introduced Beite's development, manufacturing capabilities, R&D strength, and international business strategy. He emphasized the company's commitment to supporting Laos' power infrastructure with reliable products and professional services.

Mr. Dewey Wang presented Beite's product portfolio, intelligent testing facilities, and overseas project experience, highlighting the company's capabilities in 110 kV–220 kV transformers and 100 kW–480 kW DC fast charging solutions.

EDL representatives discussed equipment performance, customized solutions, delivery schedules, and after-sales support. Beite's engineering team provided detailed technical answers, earning positive feedback from the delegation.

Factory Tour

The delegation visited Beite's Intelligent Testing Center, Transformer Workshop, Switchgear Workshop, and DC Charging Station Production Workshop.

Guests observed the complete transformer testing process, automated production lines, quality control systems, and 6S factory management. Beite's advanced manufacturing technology and strict quality standards left a strong impression on the visitors.

Three-Year Strategic Cooperation

Following the technical discussions and factory inspection, both parties reached a strong strategic consensus.

EDL plans to initiate a three-year framework procurement agreement with Beite after returning to Laos, establishing a long-term partnership for the supply of:

· High-voltage power transformers

· High-power DC EV charging stations

· Other power transmission and distribution equipment

The cooperation is expected to support the modernization of Laos' power grid while strengthening Beite's presence in the Southeast Asian market.

Friendship Beyond Business

To celebrate the successful visit, Beite hosted a welcome banquet for the EDL delegation.

Chairman Nan highlighted the long-standing friendship between China and Laos and reaffirmed Beite's commitment to providing advanced technology, reliable products, and comprehensive services to support Laos' vision of becoming the "Battery of Southeast Asia."

EDL representatives praised Beite's manufacturing capabilities, product quality, and professional team, expressing their confidence in accelerating future cooperation and achieving long-term mutual success.
